Multilingual accepted-guess data

German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian accepted-guess dictionaries contain modified data from FrequencyWords:

The FrequencyWords content data is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International and is based on the OpenSubtitles 2018 corpus distributed through OPUS:
https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/

Gridling modifications: entries were lowercased; diacritics were decomposed and removed; German sharp S was preserved as one letter; OE and AE ligatures were mapped to oe and ae; unsupported characters and entries outside 4-7 letters were removed; duplicate entries were combined; frequency counts were omitted.

The resulting adapted data remains available under CC BY-SA 4.0. This data is used only to decide whether guesses are accepted. Puzzle answers come from separate, manually reviewed pools of familiar words that exclude names and brands.

English accepted-guess data

The English accepted-guess dictionary also incorporates data from the Tab Atkins Wordle list, first20hours Google 10,000 English list, and the dwyl English words list. Their respective repositories retain their own licences and notices.
